how did a buyer change listing to free shipping when paying

I offered a large item with 3 shipping options. the buyer won auction and asked to have shipping reduced. i declined. buyer then paid with free shipping. How did this happen?

How long has it been since the purchase happened?  Sometimes the price doesn't update for a few minutes.  I have seen this occur right when a sale was purchased, but a bit later it would update with the correct amount.

Unless you have a free shipping option in your listing, I don't know why it would have not charged the buyer shipping.

Give it a few minutes, then check your order details again.

Has the buyer paid?  The shipping cannot be calculated until the buyer puts in a location.  Buyers cannot change postage and postage is never negotiable in offers.
