four year old hidden orders showing up again

My purchase history is suddenly showing orders that I had hidden over 4 years ago.  This is not the first time this has happened.

Purchases cannot be deleted, only temporarily hidden.

eBay has changed the Purchase History and Summary pages -- the default for orders is no longer the last sixty days, but the last three years.

Some older, previously hidden items are apparently no longer hidden due to the change, though it is still possible to hide those transactions again.

One possible quick workaround is to bookmark a page that shows recent transactions, hide the transactions you want to hide, and then use the bookmark in place of eBay's link unless or until eBay fixes the old link.
