first time trying to list, lotsof questions about shipping, selling china

Can any body help. About to give up. Help with shipping China. No idea how to pack, figure box size, or even know whats included in a  handling fee -

Is that just buying packing materials? Without the box the dishes weigh 40lbs. I have no idea what size of box this will take. 

Do I "guess" on a shipping price? Do I pack it before I sell the China, just to get the info needed to even "List the item"?

Packing China is tough you need to study on this.

Do not guess your shipping cost. Yes you need to know the full weight and size before listing.

Suggest you first list this as Local Pickup Only.  

You really have to know how to pack China or it will never arrive without damage.   Also packing it correctly will increase the cost of packing materials and shipping to be higher, so the pattern has to be worth the extra cost to the buyer.

If your set isn't totally complete, you might also want to consider selling it by the piece or group of pieces.   Replacement china for someone with a broken set can bring decent prices as well and a lot easier and cheaper to ship.
