Feedback is voluntary, and many users have different ideas of when it is best to leave it.
Many sellers leave feedback as soon as they are paid to thank buyers for payment and to encourage buyers to leave feedback for those sellers. Some sellers prefer to wait until buyers have received the purchase and appear to be satisfied or until buyers leave feedback to avoid leaving feedback for a buyer that turns out to be troublesome or who does not leave feedback. Some sellers leave feedback in batches all at once when it is convenient for them.
Some users wait until the other party leaves feedback first; when two such users are involved in a transaction together, neither gets feedback as each is waiting for the other to blink.
Other sellers reason that since buyers cannot be given negative feedback, there is no reason to withhold it once payment has been received.
Leaving feedback first is one of the few things a user can do to maximize the chances of receiving feedback.
