estimated delivery dates

why does ebay estimate delivery dates that are impossible. I offer 2 day turn around on shipping but on day 3 I have buyers opening requests saying delivery is late based on what the estimated delivery was described in the listing.

@chipfox  I hate that they do not add the handling time to the estimated delivery date.  

What ebay does is go by how fast your items have arrived in the past, that's not a good method especially if a seller sometimes does use sometimes use the full handling time before they ship.  Even worse right now with the delays in shipment.

About the only thing you can do is offer USPS parcel select ground which does have a longer estimated shipping time but then ship with a faster shipping method.
