ebay store showing less items than number of my active listings

I spoke with ebay about this a month ago and they have no solutions. At that time I had almost 3700 active and the store only showed about 1600. Other members have said that when items haven't been viewed in over 30 days, ebay puts them out-of-circulation and they won't appear in searches. That said, I spent a few days and ended all of my listings and then individually listed them each as new using "sell similar" for every single one of them. Now my active listings are about 3600, but my store still only shows about 3100 items. So that worked for the most part, but what is going on with the other 500 and how can I even figure out what is not in the store as they only show randomly. I have a lot of numbered photos so my indexing works out fine in my active listings area. Of course, the other question is: why can't ebay show the store alphabetically? Yeah, I know it just can't...

Hi @bvkoski

Exactly WHO stated this to you, " ... Other members have said that when items haven't been viewed in over 30 days, eBay puts them out-of-circulation and they won't appear in searches. '''"???

Your store shows 3,090 items appearing in search right now...

If you have the out-of-stock feature turned on, then your Active items list will show all of your active listings versus only those with available quantities. You can check to see if this is turned on here:

I appreciate your reply, but I'm not sure how that could be the issue because all of my active listings have at least one item available. And I definitely don't keep any listings active when out of stock. And as I mentioned before, the only way I was able to partially solve it was to end all of my listings and list them each as new by doing "sell similar" for every one of them and maintaining each listing as-is. That brought the numbers a lot closer together with store and active, but there is still the discrepancy of about 500. There has to be some kind of glitch. And as I mentioned at the start of my query, I contacted ebay about this. They acknowledge the bizarre issue and had no solution. I did the rest on my own. At least buyers can now see and find many more of my items than before. I forgot to mention the other part: this discrepancy started probably about 8 months ago. And I've been selling numbers like these for about two years.

Hi @bvkoski

So you already checked that setting to ensure that it was turned off?

I'm asking because several months ago, many sellers who weren't even aware of the setting discovered that it was turned on and had the same problem you are described.

Hi: A couple of ebay members talked about this process when I posted about my dilemma a month or so back. I'll see if I can find the post.

Thanks. Yes, that setting was turned off as expected. Also, see attached for where it says how many are in my store and then in the lower left how many are active and their status. Very odd that in one page it shows both numbers, 3090 in the store and 3642 active. Screenshot 2024-01-19 at 10.33.48 PM.jpg
