ebay has completely revamped the listings feature and has removed all functions associated with auction-style listings. A seller can no longer see how many auction style listings they have, number of bids, number of watchers, etc making the administration of auction items untenable. It seems to me that ebay does not have any employees who actually sell in large volume on the site and no real understanding of how to make improvements to their site. This makes it incredibly difficult for a sleer who has a buy-it-now store with 28,000+ items who also is running between 500-1,000 auctions every month. It is actually getting incredibly difficult to run a business on eBay.
