eBay is a curious outfit.

I have received an invoice from eBay which seems wrong and want to talk to them about it.   Upon investigation I find that they have canceled their customer service 'phone lines, probably as a money saving step.   However, theoretically you can ask eBay to call you.   Because of old age induced hearing problems I have a text only mobile phone and this is the number I have registered with eBay and is the one to which they send texts to for ID verification.   However, I do have a hearing enhanced land line phone.

Have us call you

eBay does give one the option of entering a different 'phone number for them to call:

Estimated wait time:1 minute
We'll call you at the phone number registered to your account, or you can enter a different number:

Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 09:30 pm PT

But when I try to enter my land line number I get an eBay error message, so:

Error: Please take a look at the following:
Phone number"

They used to call my land line and also use it to send recorded ID confirmation numbers.   Note too, that there is now no way of contacting them by email.

Does anyone know how I may contact them or get them to call my landline?

Thank in advance.
