changing from shipped to local pick up

I sold an item to be shipped. The buyer then contacted me to see if he could do local pick up. We arranged local pick up. He asked me to notify ebay that it was picked up, not being shipped. How do I make that change.

You can't change it.  For an item that expensive, if you want to let him pick it up, cancel the transaction and relist it as local pickup. Then he can buy it again and not have to pay the shipping.

When you list as local pickup, the buyer will get a code to give you to enter through the app (or QR code to scan) so that you can report the item picked up.  This protects you from a not received claim.
