can i get a refund if bought something without reading all of the details?

I  thought i bought a PS5 but i didn't read the sellers description that it was pictures of a PS5 not the system itself.  Basically do i have a case for a refund?  it feels like a scam so i'd like to know if i have chance at receiving a refund?

It is a scam.  They listed a physical console with Item Specifics and the full Product description.

They can't add "The console itself isn’t being sold, just digital pictures that will be sent via email/ebay message within 24 hours of purchase" and expect it to fly.

It doesn't appear anything has ever been sold on this account, which is suspicious.

Start with a refund request for "not received" if it is past the 'estimated delivery date' which is what date?  They can't prove they sent you anything with tracking.

They will have 3 business days to provide tracking showing delivery, after that you can ask eBay to step in.

Watch the case timelines closely, do not let it go on too long in case you have to open a follow-up return.

I changed my mind - you shouldn't have to wait another week or so before you can open a refund request.

Contact eBay CS first - have them look at the listing and the added note - see if they can do something now as this is an obvious scam.

Go to this page, look on the left side, click "Have us call you" or "Chat with us"

Wait until they're open - Holiday Hours 9:00am-5:00pm PT

It says it has been shipped.  It says it will delivered on December 29 to the 31st of December.  So i should ask for a refund request after the delivery date passes?  Should i report the seller as scammer after the due date?

Did they give you a tracking number, or just mark it as shipped, and does your Purchase History show the delivery date of Dec 29 - 31?

What did you receive by email or eBay message - a digital photo?

No tracking number just shipped.  Just pictures of the console on the ebay message.

I contacted Ebay and in 3 business days to resolve the matter.   This person is definitely a scammer so they'll ban the account and prevent them from selling anything.  Thank you very much for the help i GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!

I just found out that the persons account was probably hacked and they were impersonating the seller to defraud people.  I just got an email saying that an unauthorized 3rd party was involved.  Definitely unexpected!

I see eBay has removed all the related feedback too - probably took the account down so they can remove the hacker, if that's what happened.

I'm just glad it was resolved so quickly.  Definitely a first for me i never thought i'd have to deal with something like this on Christmas of all days.  I did get the refund in 3 business so that's cool.  I wanted to update you on what happened.  Merry Christmas and Happy new year!!!
