buying with paypal credit

Hello. I placed an item in my cart and was able to select paypal credit for payment 12 month equal payments. so I tried to make an offer and it was excepted by the seller but immediately took the amount from my paypal bank card without allowing me to select paypal credit. Am I missing something !!!

PayPal Credit may be available for Buy-It-Now purchases, but for offers or auctions where the seller requires a payment method in advance, that payment option may not be available since eBay cannot put a reversible payment hold on a PayPal Credit payment.
