Why isn’t there a way to force buyers to leave feedback for sellers.

I am just starting out on eBay. I have sold a couple of items. Both buyers buy and sell a lot on this site so both should understand the importance of leaving feedback. Yet, neither have. I reached out to both buyers which one just ignored me and the other gave a smart ___ reply. What gives. How am I supposed to get holds lifted from my sales if I can’t get seasoned buyers to leave feedback.

Leaving feedback is OPTIONAL, not mandatory for both buyers & sellers. Never ask for it.

Feedback does not have any effect on payout holds.
