Why can't eBay take a hint about managed payments?

Greetings.

When they started rolling out managed payments a few years ago I thought they were gonna revert it because of how many people hated it (and still do) I even got a new eBay account in hopes of it not being a thing. And I haven't sold much since I got a new account.

But eBay can't seem to take a hint! It's been a few years and no matter what, look up "Why eBay Managed Payment Sucks" on Google or YouTube, etc. and you could be scrolling forever on why people hate it. At this point it feels like they have to pay people to write good reviews about it.

It takes days for payments to show up and clear (or what I've heard) and they now require you to use a checking account, which I will not and will never plan on having. (banks are criminals)

And that's dangerous! Who cares if there's a data leak? Who cares if the seller has to ship before the payment clears? Who cares if the seller is out a few hundred bucks after someone scammed them and their payment was bad?

So can eBay take a hint? 2+ years of managed payments being hated.

Managed Payments will not be going away.  So if you do not have a checking account, you will only be able to BUY on ebay.

Managed Payments is how eBay sellers are paid. It's not going to change.

Managed Payments is supported by the same payment processor used on other similar sites to eBay.  Millions and millions of eBay sellers are using it without any problems or complaints, but if you are worried about it, you can get a checking account to use just for your eBay sales.

People generally fear change. You'll find all kinds of misinformation posted about Managed Payments out there on the internet, mostly out of ignorance. People don't post on internet sites to write glowing reviews - you never hear from those people. You hear from the complainers.

Scroll down this page to see customers who use eBay's payment processor, Adyen. You'll recognize the names of many if not most of them.
