Where do I put my feeds when using FTP

I just set up my FTP so I can upload my inventory feeds but I'm not sure where I'm suppose to put my feed file. 

I tried putting it in the root folder and got permission denied, then the store folder, and then inventory.  And then I figured I could be at this all day and never guess the correct one.  I've tried searching for the answer and can't seem to find it.  Any help is much appreciated.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but it sounds like you have a file of your inventory that you wish to list on ebay?  If so, you may want to go here to ask for help with a program I believe is called File Exchange:

Pretty close, I actually have my inventory already listed and I've been using file exchange to update the price/quantities on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, you have to manually navigate the site each time you want to do that.  I was hoping that I could use the FTP option they have on here to accomplish the same thing as I could then automate the processing using an FTP program via command line.

I'm getting the impression that the FTP option is a dead end.  Is there another way to do this?
