What if no one’s home to sign for a package?

Carrier should leave a notice and/or try to redeliver it.  You can put a signature wavier on your door, call to go pick it up, or have it redelivered.

Check the tracking history, what I have seen in the past is it states something along the lines of, "Delivery attempted ..."

THAT statement in Tracking is the same as delivered for eBay's tracking purposes.  USPS may make additional attempts to deliver the package but at some point if it keeps failing the package will be returned to you the Sender.

What if no one’s home to sign for a package?

In almost all cases, signature confirmation is required for sales of $750 plus. Otherwise, the package will just be left at your door or in your mailbox.
