I have been a loyal EBay customer since 2009. 400+ transactions with 100% feedback. Zero problems ever.
I sold my day job company and lost my access to the email and phone # that was associated with the account. I have any and all proof that that account was mine and EBay will not let me have it back.
I’ve jumped through all the hoops even to the point of being hung up on by them because they wouldn’t admit they were wrong.
So, I started a new account to continue and start over.
I only sell high end items Classic cars, luxury watches, rare guitars….etc. needless to say they make a lot of money off of me, but that was my old account.
Now I just sold a 1200 Oakley watch, and a couple cheaper guitars below $600 each. This company is holding all the money for 30 days even after all have been delivered.
I contacted them and was told they were “high value items” so I immediately read through the terms and conditions to find their definition of “high value” it’s not there.
So I contacted them again and the “expert “ couldn’t find it . So they pulled the “it’s a new account crap” even after they already have seen the original acct data and admitted that it was me. What should I do now? Any advice? I’m guessing I’m gonna have to let them use my money for the month and never ever use eBay again.

@ivsctatchiv New account means new seller rules. You probably have a higher selling limit due to your old account. I started a new account to sell things for a friend and had the same fund hold issues and having to self fund labels and not able to using processing funds. I have been selling for about 21 years, regularly about the last 12.
Typically "high value" is sales that total $750 or more with sales tax and shipping. Then you MUST get a signature on delivery to have tracking proof of delivery. Even long time sellers are subject to fund holds for high value items.
