I encountered a difficult situation with a customer who returned an item different from the one I sold, and was disrespectful. eBay's suggestion that I should have offered free returns was unhelpful, especially since the product was brand new and sealed. This incident has greatly reduced my confidence in eBay's protection for sellers, as it seems the platform is susceptible to fraudulent activities, and my compliance with the rules didn't shield me from unfair treatment.
Interacting with eBay's customer service has also been a source of frustration. I often end up communicating with representatives who are not proficient in English, which complicates issue resolution. For instance, one representative suggested I ask for the original item back from a buyer who had already replaced it, an impractical solution.
My dissatisfaction with eBay and their customer support is profound. I intend to share my story on Reddit to highlight the ease of being scammed on eBay and how the platform appears to lean towards supporting scammers rather than honest sellers. I'll be informing others about the platform's vulnerabilities.

Hi @lvsh.supply
If you plan to continue selling here, why would you take public actions to drive away business from the site?
Better to understand what your protections are and what they are not. eBay does not "support" scammers and to make such a statement would be just as dishonest as you are accusing eBay of being.
Are there concerning activities here? Yes. Scammers continue to find new ways to outwit the system all the time and not just on eBay. In a country that increasingly turns a blind eye to lawlessness, criminals are emboldened. Don't put the blame on eBay for that.
Could they do more? of course! But it takes time to turn big ships.
I will agree with you that customer support is not what most people think it should be, and it can be a frustrating experience to use. But most questions can be answered right here on this board which can minimize your exposure to that frustration.

Admitting fraud yet taking no action is unacceptable. I firmly believe that eBay endorses fraudulent activities when it's financially implicated. Change will only occur when it impacts their profits. My research indicates this is a widespread issue, not just an isolated incident. Considering the numerous and increasing fees eBay imposes, the least they could offer is seller protection in instances of theft. While I value your perspective, it does not address or resolve the current problem. Wishing you a good day and blessings.
