Hello. I bought a computer last Fall that is not working now. There is a one year warranty on it. The seller said the warranty is through Ebay and that I should contact them. How do I do that? Thank you!......Scott Samuels

The seller told you wrong. eBay doesn’t warranty anything. Warranties are generally through the manufacturer, but most manufacturers don’t honor warranties for items purchased on eBay unless the seller is an authorized retailer for the product.

If this was an eBay "Certified Refurbished" computer then the seller is correct - the warranty is through eBay with Allstate (Square Trade).
Do you have the email confirmation for that order - it would have the Certified Refurbished "badge" on it, and there are steps to take for warranty claims with Allstate.

Thank you but you did not answer my question. I did click on the allstate logo. It says this item is not registered with them.

@artlawton - My question was do you have the email confirmation from eBay that shows the eBay Certified Refurbished badge? Did you buy this under eBay's Certified Refurbished program or not?

I really don't know. If you are not going to answer my question, please don't reply. Thank you

You say you don’t know if it was under the certified refurbished program. Well, we don’t have access to your account information, so we don’t know either.
