VPN users - Is Ebay becoming burdensome to you?

Starting today,  I was required to either have a code sent to my cell phone or to call in to have a block manually removed because I use a VPN I was told.  This is a HUGE HASSLE!  If this persists, I will be moving my decades long account with them!  What skin is it off of their noses if I use a VPN???!!!

eBay wants to prevent user accounts from being hijacked by scammers and being used for fraudulent transactions -- either buying or selling.

One of the ways that eBay prevents accounts from being hijacked is by requiring additional verification when a user signs in from a new browser, from a new device, or from a new network address.

Depending on how your VPN is set up, it may be providing eBay with a new IP address each time you sign in -- triggering the additional verification.

It may be possible to change the way your VPN is set up and to use a fixed IP address and bypass the verification requirement.
