Using PO Boxes

I had ordered an item from a seller, and I am using my PO Box as my mailing address because of packages that are not secured where I live, they are being delivered and left on the table, which anyone can come in from outside and walk away .  I have had packages taken before, so that is why I have a PO Box.  I do not understand why when a seller list their items they let people know whether or not they accept PO Boxes as delivery for their packages. Now I had sent the seller the address the Post Office told me to use but the package will still go to the PO Box but it is the Post office  address. I have not heard back from the seller it has been two days. Contact ebay customer service, was told to wait ( sent another message to the seller today) asking the seller to cancel the order, since the seller is not responding to my messages .  Also customer service told me that if I cancel the order it would be on my record.  This is not right. I don't want to be charged for an item , pay for it and then it gets taken.

Re: Using PO Boxes

Only the postal service can deliver to a PO box. If the seller uses another carrier, like FedEx or UPS, those carriers don't deliver to PO boxes.

Some sellers who send via USPS don't ship to a PO Box because of some misunderstanding of how the system works. There is no reason to block USPS mail from being delivered to a PO box.

The seller must ship to the address you provide at checkout. If you chose to use the street address of your post office with your box as the suite number, I would think that even the other carriers would deliver there.  But it is up to your local post office to decide whether to put that item in your box if there is no postage on the item. Of course, if it comes to your post office via US mail, then you will have no issues.

If the seller does not ship the item, you are protected by eBay Money Back Guarantee. You can  open an "item not received" request from within your Purchase History if the delivery date has passed, and you will get a full refund.
