Under payment for a USPS Postage label

Got a message from eBay that said I underpaid for a USPS Postage label - I called the number on the message - USPS - and the lady I talked to said I should be calling eBay, that she can not answer questions about costs or charges, she can only open disputes. So I need to talk to eBay!!! Of course, this is not a category that eBay lists for 'contact us ' issues.

Under payment for a USPS Postage label

eBay can't really do much to help you. When the packages are sorted by machine at the distribution hub, the weights, measurements, and packaging are compared to the shipping label. If you under or overpaid, you'll be credited or charged accordingly and you'll receive a notification.

You may have:

  • Entered the wrong weight for your package.
  • Entered the wrong dimensions and your package incurred a surcharge for being over-sized.
  • Used flat or regional rate packaging for a label created based on weight and size.
  • Created your label for flat or regional packaging, but used non-flat or regional packaging.
  • Created a label for flat or regional packaging, but selected the wrong size.

The adjustment detail page you received shows what the problem was.
