I bought a UPS label through eBay. The package was lost, I filed a claim with UPS. They found the package and instead of sending it to the recipient or myself, they are sending it to eBay in San Jose, CA. When I bought the UPS label through eBay, eBay San Jose was listed as the Return address instead of my address. I am trying to get this package back so I can resend it. It was a 30 lb, $400 purchase; would be a huge loss for me. Anybody ever encountered such a thing? Any suggestions?

@oosniper7 Have you contacted UPS and asked why they didn't return it to sender or ship to the address provided?
Never heard of this happening. The only thing I can think of is that since eBay is the UPS account holder that's why they sent it there. That's just a guess though.

I was on the phone with eBay support for almost an hour and a half. Eventually they suggested it might be returned to me even though UPS tracking clearly states Ship To: San Jose, CA. And then they suggested I get in touch with UPS. Which I did and they pointed the finger to eBay?! I will see tomorrow where it is in fact being delivered to. If it is eBay corporate I'm guessing they will refuse it? It's a foldable kayak of all things....
Will keep this thread updated because I do really need some help on this fiasco.

Hi @oosniper7
I wish I had an answer for you, but have you shipped other items through UPS? Did they also have eBay as the return address?
Also, when you check the return address in your account settings, does your address appear or eBay's or is it blank?
https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses
And one more question, if you go back to your Orders list, click the option in the dropdown next to the transaction and select Purchase another label. Does your zip code or eBay's display for the Return zip code over on the right side of the page? (Don't forget to back out of the page so you don't accidentally purchase another label.)
BTW, your listing show the item was to be shipped through FedEx, not UPS.
