UPS Surepost tracking number doesn't sync properly

My eBay shipping system is connected to ShipStation, and I use the UPS SurePost option.

However, the UPS tracking number doesn't sync to eBay, causing orders to be marked as "late shipment."

I tried manually adding the UPS tracking number by clicking "edit," but it resulted in an error message saying, "Tracking number added is already used by a different seller." 

This doesn’t make sense since I purchased the shipping label directly through ShipStation.

 

Since UPS SurePost also generates a USPS tracking number, I entered that number on eBay, which updated the shipping status to "shipped." so I initially thought the problem was resolved.

 

But, it looks like the USPS tracking number was not trackable and it showed "USPS Currently Awaiting Package" on the USPS website. As a result, the order status remained “in transit.”

 

Meanwhile, when I enter the UPS Surepost Tracking number on UPS website, it showed the package was delivered with the proof of delivery photo. Again, I'm not able to update this tracking number on ebay because it gives the error message. 

 

I contacted eBay support, but they seemed unfamiliar with how UPS and USPS tracking numbers work, so I had to explain the situation. Despite my request to escalate the issue to their IT department, I was told no direct contact information was available.

 

This unresolved issue has negatively impacted my seller transaction defect rate, dropping my account level to “below standard.” It seems this is happening because the delivery status isn’t being updated to "delivered," and I don’t know how to fix it.

 

I'm not going to use UPS SurePost anymore, but is there a way to report this system error to eBay?

Does anyone have suggestions for updating tracking numbers or resolving this issue?
