I have tried navigating the ebay system to secure an old purchase, using the item number, since I lost the original invoice with the date. eBay does not have a way to communicate directly with a human to ask questions that are not one of their standard questions asked. One would think, next to using a date of the purchase, they would automatically have a reset using the item number, after all, the assign an item number the second it is listed. Oh well, it is what it is. This is one of the reasons I use eBay as my last resort for selling my memorabilia.

Order details of prior purchases are available through your purchase history back through 2017. I don’t think it will search on item #.
To go back further, you can order a report that will include title, seller and price info, no other details. Go to account settings >> request your eBay data.
You could order the report for all years - you can use the find function of your browser to search the report.

Thank you. I will try my best to secure the complete report. Greatly appreciate your kind assistance. It’s a shame eBay is not willing to provide simple answers and guidance to their millions of sellers and buyers.

There are a lot of places where a little info link could offer a lot of help - like the search box - they could easily tell you what fields are searchable.
The report can take up to a week to get - you might read through your feedback while you are waiting. If you find the item, try clicking reply on the far right - the reply box should show you the date the feedback was left, which has to be within 60 days of your purchase.

My issue, the purchase actual goes back about 9 years or longer. All I have is the item number in my records. At the time, I was not thinking about keeping a record or copy of every invoice. Greatly appreciate your kind input and assistance. Best regards, Ed

Got it. For something from 9 years ago, there is no point in searching your purchase history, since you can’t see that far back. The small bit of info from the report is all you will be able to get.
You could still see it in your feedback - your feedback is going to give you the seller and the price - the only other thing the report will give you is the shipping.
