Transfer a US to UK account - impossible?

I am on the verge of closing my account that I have had since 1997! Its a US based account but I live in the UK now. They seemingly wont allow me to transfer the account and said I can start a new one here, but every time I try its closed automatically for "suspected fraud"! 

Aside from closure and moving away from ebay, which ideally I don't want to do, what's my options here?

Utterly useless.

Passed back and forth only to be told by someone with terrible English that "we have our reason to close your account and suspend any and all future accounts but we wont divulge that reason". I literally set up an account in the UK and did NOTHING with it. Automatically closed. Wifes account: closed.

They even admitted "we have ways to track you and connect you with future accounts". That's bloody worrying if they have so much personal info that they can connect me and my wife and a different bank account together and ban her purely because she is with such a seemingly "terrible person" as myself. My US account has almost 1000 near fully positive  feedback and active since 1997.

I now believe this company is as bad if not worse than Facebook for harvesting data and its really concerning.
