I don't understand why the seller sends me only a tracking number and the ebay system tells me it sent. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, an item is not sent until the item is in the shippers hands. If I send the seller my money, he or she should send the item ASAP, not just a tracking number and then send it to the shipper several days later or when they feel like it. I understand about working days (Monday thru Friday) and weather. If they don't have the item in hand they should not post the item.

If a seller uses ebay shipping to print the shipping label, ebay sends a message with the tracking number stating that the package has shipped.  Sellers have been asking for years for ebay to change the message slightly, as the seller can specify a shipping date up to 3 days in the future when the label is printed.  Sellers need an acceptance scan from the carrier within their handling time to show on time shipping.
