I'm in the middle of a tracking number scam(item I bought was delivered to another person in same zip code). I'm currently Waiting utill 3 business days are up so I can ask eBay to step in for my refund request.
The only proof I've managed to gather is a private DM on Twitter from the UPS Twitter account confirming the package wasn't sent to my address nor had my name on the package( I also have a screenshot of them saying they can't send me an email of the confirmation through the Twitter support but I could use the messages they sent as proof). I also have the tracking details with the weight of the package not matching the weight of the item I ordered.
Has anyone had luck using Twitter messages as supporting documents? If not, how would I go about getting a more official confirmation from UPS? I haven't had luck with their phone number, the local UPS store, and I'm not sure if the claim I submitted with them will deliver.
Edit: Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

The bots see that tracking states DELIVERED so you will automatically lose an Item Not Received case.
You take the tracking number down to the carrier (post office/FedEx/UPS). Have them check their GPS
coordinates for where the package was delivered. If it was NOT to your name/address, then you get that
statement on their letterhead. They do not need to state where it was delivered, just NOT to you.
Then you upload a copy of that letterhead into an appeal, to get your money back.

Thanks for your reply! I've managed to get in contact with their customer service and have received confirmation from the company's email. My UPS claim may be able to get me a statement on letterhead but if not, an official email looks better than a tweet at least.
If anyone is in a similar predicament, UPS is difficult to get a hold of. They can't help you in the physical store(the information they were able to provide was information already available to me through the tracking number, the employee even showed me his computer screen with the database pulled up) and even if you manage to get someone on the phone they won't be able to give you what you need. Filing a claim or using their customer service email function(which is much faster) seem to be the only ways to get an official response from UPS, at least one not through Twitter DMs.
