To add items to my watch list

I've deleted items from my watch list and tried to add others and it keeps telling me an error has occurred and won't add them what do I do thank you

How many active items are you watching?

And how many ended items?

If you delete some old or ended items, do the numbers actually change?

See if deleting some items allows you to add new items. If you are using the eBay app, try using a browser to delete or add items and see if that works better.
