I have been a user of Ebay since 1998 and have historically noted its affinity for Google. The current "sign in" popup that seeks to promote a Google service is perhaps the most annoying thing to come along in a while. Big Brother Google aside, I don't have problem with Ebay wanting to grant it's users access to the sight through another platform but please don't destroy the browsing experience for everyone advertising it. Instead, send a memo via messages, like for many other Ebay notices, and allow user's to set it up in accounts if they want it. Splashing it onto the item pages hinders the buyer/seller experience and irritates many. At the very least, make it susceptible to stripping out with a browser popup blocker. Ebay is big enough to get along without this irritant.
