I have been on this platform for over a decade, but I'm definitely quitting after this latest enraging set of events.
A fraudulent seller knowingly sent me damaged goods - totally unusable.
I sent very good pictures of the damage, and eBay promised that the *seller* would cover the cost of return shipping *to China.*
Well, they reneged on that. I had to pay $180 to return something that shipped for *free* to me.
Now the seller is pretending they can't read numbers, or something.
So not only will I lose my initial $180 that I spent on the junk product, I had to spend *another* $180 to return it, and now the seller is pretending they can't read numbers!
eBay is trash forever. Y'all can keep this fraud.

I'm sorry this happened.
If you receive damaged goods, you can request a return for an item that doesn't match the description. The seller has to send a return label, or money if they are outside the US. Before you return the package.
If they don't, you can ask eBay to step in after 3 business days.

It seems that you trusted the seller too much.
For contacting eBay, make here a choice for a chat or a call to you: https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkpid

Yes, I thought so, too.
But this simply isn't the case.
eBay notified me that if I *didn't* pay the return shipping, they would close my return.
eBay simply doesn't care at all if their Chinese sellers rip off their American customers.

That seems very weird.
Instead of initiating a chat or a call to you, you can contact eBay's Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter. That is maybe easier to do.
Find how to send eBay a private message on https://Facebook.com/eBay or https://Twitter.com/AskeBay
If you don't have an account, you have to make one. Facebook is the easiest.

LuL no. I don't work for eBay. I'm not fixing their problems for them.
I'm a grownup with stuff to do in my day.
I make substantially more per hour than this transaction cost me; I already sent good money after bad, so the next thing I'm going to do is cut my losses because this is clearly a losing investment for me.
Thanks for your suggestions, but I'm not interested in doing one more thing on my end or investing one more *microsecond* of my time into this failed website.
I only came here to voice my displeasure as a warning to anyone else still hanging on: it's time to cut bait and recast.
