The IRS and taxes collected by eBay

I received a letter from the IRS wanting to know why I did not collect  or report  taxes on items sold on eBay on years 2020, 2021.  As eBay collected all taxes for prior years, how do I prove to the IRS this was done. has anyone else been receiving letters from the IRS wanting you to pay back taxes on items sold on eBay.  How do I prove to the IRS that taxes were paid?
