Text notification regarding shipping

I’ve just received a text from an unknown source and international number stating that my order is being held due to incorrect zip code. There is a typed in web address that is not a live link (unusual) to what is apparently a part of usps.  SEE BELOW
****

U.S. Post: You have a USPS parcel being cleared, due to the detection of an invalid zip code address, the parcel can not be cleared, the parcel is temporarily detained, please confirm the zip code address information in the link

within 24 hours.

(Please reply with a Y, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link, or copy the link into your Safari browser and open it)

Have a great day from the USPS team!
****

I’m currently homebound and cannot go to the usps office.  I have a usps account and see nothing of the sort n my account. Has anyone seen anything like this? I have concerns it is a scam.

Advance thanks!

Text notification regarding shipping

It is a scam!

There is no package.

And that is not a Post office website.

@pampar6155

You are right to be concerned -- it is a scam to get you to click on a link and provide your info directly to a scammer.

My ad blocker won't even let me load the linked site due to "badware risk".

[edited to add: If the link worked, no doubt it would tell you to confirm your zip code and then tell you that the package could not be delivered due to a minor issue with the shipping label amount, but if you provide your credit card number you can be charged the outstanding $0.52 and still get your package -- which, if you were to proceed, would wind up giving your credit card details to the scammers.]
