Telephone number printed on UPS label

Why is my telephone number printed on my UPS shipping labels. I don't want this personal information clearly listed on a shipping label anyone can see!

Private couriers, such as Fed Ex and UPS, want your phone number in case they have problems locating the address, especially in rural areas.  Easier to give you a call rather than taking the package back to their warehouse and sending an update in the tracking number.

I don't want my number printed for anyone to see, even buyers. If buyers have a problem they can go through ebay channels to resolve issues. Last thing i want is buyers or scammers calling my personal number. As of now I just cross it out on labels but I would like an option to not have it printed.

This only seems to happen via ebay printed labels as my UPS account does not have my Cell number listed.

Another reason to use your own UPS account where you can better control things like this.

If you link your UPS account to PayPal, you will get the same discounts when you use the UPS site to ship.
