Sub .99 bids not accepted

Looking at a sports card listed for $1. OBO. But the lowest bid accepted is .99 in the ebay system, so a bid of .75 won't be accepted. Why?

@dinogplaw713c Please provide an item number or link to the listing.

.99 cents would be the lowest price for an offer or buy it now.

Auctions can have lower prices.

A "Best Offer" is NOT a "bid."  Those are two very different things.

For listings set up on ebay.com the minimum amount that a Best Offer can be is $.99.  They set it the same as the minimum for a sale on a fixed-price listing (auctions can go lower, down to $.01).
