I have shipped an item to a buyer June 6th and it's been stuck processing in Honolulu since June 10th. I've contacted Ebay and managed to get someone on the phone. They said that they would contact someone in the shipping to get the package moving again but nothing changed. The conversation with Ebay took place June 25th, last Tuesday and they still haven't gotten the package moving again. What can I do to get the buyer their order?

@shgig426. What shipping method did you use ? If it's shipping USPS ground advantage then it has to wait for a ship or plane to reach Hawaii.
Hawaii buyers usually know it takes extra time for packages to reach them. Your best option is to file a package search on the USPS site and keep your buyer updated.

Thanks for the reply. It was shipped using an eBay envelope. The destination address is in New Mexico.

@shgig426. Ahh, sorry I misunderstood. The customer service agent just told you what you wanted to hear. eBay standard envelope tracking can only be read by the sorting equipment. It can't be read correctly if the envelope is not flexible enough and sometimes the post office just goofs.
The only thing that you can do is refund the buyer if they file a not received refund request. Then you can file an insurance claim with PIP. I'll add a link to file an insurance claim when I'm back on my computer.

@shgig426 Here's a link to file an insurance claim after you refund the buyer. Click the blue button that says file a claim>
This is the only way an eBay Standard Envelope can be tracked>

Here's a post by a fellow mentor that has good info on using the ESE.
