Struggling with High eBay Transaction Fees – Seeking Guidance

Dear eBay Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart as I navigate a challenging situation with eBay’s transaction fees.

Despite upgrading my seller account to the Starter Package, I’m still being charged a significant 15% transaction fee on my sales. This has drastically impacted my profit margins, leaving me struggling to sustain my business.

I’ve worked hard to provide quality products and excellent service to my buyers, but these high fees are making it incredibly difficult to stay afloat. I truly value being part of this platform, but I feel disheartened and unsure of how to move forward.

I’m reaching out to this wonderful community for advice or solutions. Has anyone faced a similar issue? Are there steps I can take to reduce these fees or better manage this challenge? Your insights and support would mean the world to me.

15% is the standard final value fee on clothing - all sellers pay that, unless they have a store that is basic or higher - then it is 12.35%. To justify the basic store fee on a monthly basis, you need to be selling more than $1,000 per month. Until then, you are better off paying the higher fee.
