Standard envelope for coins

I'm going to begin selling some coins. How reliable is shipping via standard envelope or am I better off shipping first class? Is tracking the same for both options?

Standard envelope for coins

A first class package at $4+ has better tracking than the eBay standard envelope.  The tracking on the std. envelope is not from carrier scans - it is generated from the mail sorting equipment, so it can run a bit ahead of the actual delivery which can confuse some buyers.

The std. envelope is better than a plain envelope with stamps - the plain envelope has no tracking and no protection on not received claims. The std. envelope has insurance included, but can only be used for single item orders up to $20, or combined orders up to $50. It does get you tacking that qualifies for the tracking uploaded and scanned requirement, which is important if you want to become top rated.
