Sold my first item - confused on next step

On the "My eBay Sold" page, I have accepted a bid and sold an item.  On the same page is one message "Buyer Paid - Ship Now"; and a second message, "Funds on Hold".  

I'm not sure if I should ship the item or wait.

It's time to ship within your stated handling time.   Be sure to ship with tracking.  

Your funds will be on hold like in an escrow account, the buyer can't just take the money back.   New and returning seller fund holds vary from 14 to 30 days.

You need to ship your item. As a new seller, you are subject to payment holds. The sooner you ship, the sooner you'll receive your payout.
