What is eBay going to do if my buyer is already causing problems before getting my item?
eBay had miscalculated the cost to ship my item by half the actual cost to ship and therefore i added the second shipping option for a medium priority mail flat rate shipping box as well as messaged the dude making an offer on my item (for $20 below my price) that I would accept his offer as long as he chose the second shipping option.
eBay didn't share his shipping choice to me until after I accepted the offer from him and the cheapskate chose eBay's miscalculated shipping cost in defiance further causing me loss on this item because i now had to input the correct weight of the item and pay the other half of the shipping cost.
Now because I'm new that payment is on hold until he receives the item and my question is:
If he is already intentionally being cheap and dishonest what is going to protect me and insure I get my funds if he says that the item never arrives or is wrong just to get his money back?

During best offers, only the item price is part of the offer; eBay doesn’t make it possible for the shipping to be different. The buyer didn’t do anything wrong. You just didn’t understand the best offer process.
