Hello. So I listed this item https://www.ebay.com/itm/305332758840 and with a weight of 40lbs and box size of 28x28x28 and selected USPS Ground Advantage, but when I check my listing, no shipping option is available. As far as I can tell, based on the USPS guidelines for this type of delivery, the size and weight are fine. It shows I will ship, but there's no calculator or estimated shipping cost.
Has anyone seen this or know a solution or what I'm doing to cause this? Thank you.

Your box is too big for usps - length + girth can not exceed 130”. 28 + 28x4 = 140. You should be able to select ups or fedex.
Also - there is no ship at your risk for the buyer. You are responsible for the shipment until delivered in the condition listed.

Agree with @wooden_flower -- you are completely responsible for delivering the item to the buyer's door in the working, unbroken condition that is shown in the listing. You cannot sell on eBay "ship at your own risk" and you should remove this wording. If you cannot ship this and assume the risk for breakage, you should only sell with local pickup.

I'll reevaluate the box, thanks.
Thanks for the unrelated/unwanted/not requested additional feedback. The item is obviously going to be well packed (or did you not read that far?) and have shipping insurance since it's delicate. If you buy a highly sought after item that 20+ years old, delicate, nearly impossible to get replacement parts, and very heavy and you want it to arrive in once piece... you're asking for shipping at your own risk. I can pack it as perfectly as possible but that won't stop fedex or ups from **bleep** it up. Losing it or letting it tumble down a hill to its demise... boxes aren't indestructible. Looks like you've sold quite a few things here... would think you'd know this, but perhaps this particular item isn't something you usually deal with. Anyone who desires something like this knows it's a risk. And no, it's not my responsibility for it to be delivered in the condition stated, it's the shippers. It's my responsibility to make sure it's packed as well as possible and it arrives at the shipper in the condition stated. If they don't like the verbiage, then they don't have to buy it, right? They can opt for local pick up, which is being offered and stated as preferred. If this is against the tos, report the item and I'll deal with it.
Thanks again.

How is this related to my question? I don't recall asking if this verbiage was acceptable. If you knew anything about the item then you'd understand what the warning is. You're making assumptions about what I'm saying. Someone that would buy this knows what I mean... You can read my other reply if you need further clarification.

We're trying to be helpful and point out that even if you say it's the buyer's problem if it breaks during shipping, the buyer can still file and win a claim against you if it arrived damaged, no matter what you write in the listing. If the item is delicate enough that there is a good chance it might break even with the best of packing, it would be a best practice to only offer a local pickup.
We may not know the item in particular (although I do have my fair share of experience being around delicate, old electronics as an MIT student), but we do know how eBay works when it comes to these kind of things.

The way you worded your comment in your listing makes it sound like you do not understand your liability, which is why we always try to help sellers be aware of what could happen. Too many sellers are surprised by having to pay shipping x 2 out of their pocket on a damaged item, even if a shipping claim is paid, whereas most buyers do know that they will not be out any $ on a damaged shipment.
If you want to offer local pickup, then add it to your listing as a shipping option so that the buyer will have a code to give you at pick up.
