Do you know if theres a way to get your money back when you cover the shipping cost on an item that you ship out and then the post office returns it back because the address wasnt correct. Especially when the buyer admits that he didn't input all of the info on his end.

You can issue a partial refund to the buyer for the purchase price minus your shipping expense.

If the buyer still wants the item, list it again and have the buyer purchase it

Shipping label.

Hi @mg49sales

If you purchased the label on eBay and the package was returned due to an incorrect address provided by the buyer, you may be able to void the label and request a refund.

  1. Go to eBay's shipping label management:

  2. Request a refund:

    • Select "Void" next to the label
    • If eligible, eBay will process the refund within 21 days
  3. If the buyer provided an incorrect address:

    • Since the buyer admitted fault, you can ask them to reimburse you for the lost shipping cost
    • If they refuse, you can request a callback from eBay for further assistance:
