Without specific details, I bought and paid for an item on November 9, 2022. The seller accepted my payment and indicated a USPS shipping label was created on November 9. As of Wednesday, November 16, the tracking number indicates SHIPPING LBL CREATED USPS AWAITS ITEM. This means the seller is still holding the item and has not shipped it. OK, seller indicated I should get the item between November 16 and 19, but how am I supposed to get the item if it's still in Washington State and I live in New Jersey?
Perhaps this is a glitch in ebay's payment/tracking system, but I'm not happy.

Or perhaps the package wasn't scanned when it was mailed and the next scan will be at delivery.
Whatever the reason, once it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.

Thanks for reply, but I've seen this too many times to think the item was just not scanned when it was mailed. It may just be a quirk in the system that an ebay seller can create a label with a tracking number, but not actually tender the item to the USPS for several days.

If the seller does not get a carrier scan or a scan at the counter in the post office, the package may not receive a scan until delivery. Yes the seller can purchase a label and not ship for a few days (but why pay for a label if you have no intention of shipping?).
Regardless of the reason, you cannot do anything until the estimated delivery date has passed. I've already given instructions on what to do at that point.
