Has anyone ever had to input an hs tariff code in order to print a label. I can’t find any info anywhere on how to get this code.

For international shipping, I use the ebay International Shipping, so I ship to the hub in Illinois, and they complete the customs form, so they input the HS code.

If you are shipping directly to your international buyer, you can check this web site out:

You can obtain a Harmonized System (HS) code on this US Census Bureau website:

https://uscensus.prod.3ceonline.com/

Search for "recorded music cd" and you will find that the basic code is:

8523

If you need 6 or 8 digits, then it can be further extended to

8523.49 or 8523.49.30, although this is not readily apparent without more sleuthing.

I don't know whether eBay's label wants only digits or the decimal points included.

When I export directly through a carrier, some slots on the form want only digits and other slots accept the decimal.
