When listing an item for bid, do I add the shipping cost to the initial bid price?

If you are offering free shipping, then you need to set your opening bid high enough to cover the shipping plus what you want for the item.

If you select buyer pays shipping, then do not add the shipping to the opening bid amount - eBay will add the shipping to the price that the winning bidder will pay.
