Shipping calculator not working right for media mail

Hello, I have listed over the past year over 500 listings, many are books. I haven't had a problem with (calculate shipping) until recently. I go through all the motions to offer shipping services but does not show when I return to page to list. I have talked with a eBay rep. , I was able to get a package rate, I cannot get media mail shipping. was told it would take 24 hrs. the problem is still there. The mailings all meet the requirements and I am doing nothing different than I have been doing. I did try using another computer, same thing. It is problem with some thing with ebay site and my listing effort. Anyone else with this problem. Maybe the new changes had an effect?

@vinyl-1   As  workaround you could change it to free shipping and include the shipping cost in the price of the book.  

Since media mail prices are the same no matter the location and go up each pound you can look up the shipping cost here:

Then use bulk edit to increase the price of the books.  And set up a new business policy for free media mail.

I know that this is not ideal but it's the only work around I can think of.

Thanks for response, I thought about that. This is not a problem with my listing on my end, as I have tried another computer, same issue. it is an online problem beyond my abilities.

This is message I get as I tried again this is for a song book 10oz 14" X 10" x 1" selected media mail, offered shipping nothing showed for shipping on page, list item error: It looks like there's a problem with this listing.  At least one valid shipping service must be specified.

Which listing tool are you using?

I'm guessing not the mobile app, since you mention "computer"?

The old Business Listing tool?

The new Unified Listing tool?

@vinyl-1   What categories are you listing in? 

You can only use media mail in Books & Magazines > Books

Movies & TV > DVDs & Blu-ray Discs

Music > CDs

Music > Vinyl Records

You used to be able to use it in more categories but this has changed over the past year.

So if you have an item that qualifies per USPS rules that is NOT listed in one of the above categories you have to just select the generic economy shipping.  You will not be able to use the calculator and will have to look up the shipping price using this tool:  https://www.ebay.com/shp/Calculator   ( change to package rate) 

Then add the cost of shipping to the price of the item or charge a flat rate.  

You can say it will ship media mail in the description.

You will have to buy the shipping label at the post office, usps click and ship,  pirateship.com or  www.paypal.com/shipnow
Media mail labels cost the same at all locations as there are not any commercial discounts.  

I personally would use pirateship.com since it integrates with eBay, it's free to use.  I also use piratehship when eBay labels act up.
