I sold the stand that came with my computer monitor. The item weighs 2 pounds. I just got a notice of an adjustment where fedex says it weighs 12 pounds. The monitor weighs 12 pounds not the **bleep** stand. How do I fix this or is it not worth the trouble?

What are the dimensions of the box? If it exceeds 1728 cubic inches, you were charged the dimensional rate instead of the actual weight. All carriers have a surcharge for dimensional weight.

Sounds like dimensional weight issues. Anytime the size of the box exceeds 1728, you are charged for the size rather than the weight.
I see @disneyshopper beat me to it while I was looking for the dimension #!
