Shipping Label - I didn't use, but eBay charged me $8.

I recently sold an item. Because it was an odd shape, had several pieces and was somewhat heavy, I had it professionally packed by FedEx.  I hand wrote the name of the buyer - Fed Ex printed a shipping label from my hand written note.

When the summary of the transaction came through, it showed an $8.08 charge for an eBay shipping label. I never used it, I never printed it, I didn't ship via eBay.

Is there any way I can get my money back or does eBay just get to rip me off?

You need to void the label.

  1. Go to Manage shipping labels - opens in new window or tab.
  2. Find the item you'd like to void the shipping label for, then from the Actions column, select More Actions, and then select Void.
  3. Choose your reason for voiding the label. If you want to, you can add a message for the buyer.
  4. Select Void shipping label.

Also - make sure you entered the new tracking # into the order.

THis didn't work. I'd already taken the item to FedEx and used their label as stated. Ebay had already charged me. I went into the menu you recommended, but eBay says it has no record of the buyer or the item number although I can still call it up in the menu with things I've sold.  So, eBay just ripped me off. Thanks for taking the time to try to help.

You didn't say how long ago - you only have 5 days to void a usps label.  That isn't an eBay rule - that is usps.
