Shipment delay request by customer

Customer has requested to delay shipment until early January since they are out of town, what are the steps to do that? Help is greatly appreciated

@coopersgift_gallery  Asvise the buyer that you have to ship within your stated  handling time or you receive a defect on your account for late shipping.

 Choices for dealing with us are the buyer asks  the Post Office to hold their mail this is what I do and I am out of town

OR   Cancel the sale as buyer requested refund the buyer and relist when they are back in town.  Make sure that the buyer asks for the cancelation in ebay messages.
