Sent a customer an order for someone else

So I got real busy and accidentally mixed labels on boxes and sent out packages to wrong customers. They both agreed to return them at my expense. Now Ebay wants me to refund, although we've agreed that's not nessacary since I'm going to be shipping them right back out to them. And, rebuying the listing to receive their item isn't optional as they purchased when there was a sale, and now they would be over paying. I can't get a live person to talk to remedy this. Why is it so hard to get REAL HELP?

If they both began Item Not As Described cases to get the return labels, you'll need to refund and then relist for them to purchase again.  I know it's a hassle, but what you're hoping to do isn't supported the way that eBay is set up.  Hopefully they'll be understanding.  Edit: you could always relist them at the sale price that they paid.
