Selling on eBay

I recently sold a 2021 Justin Fields orange disco card on here. I shipped in a black Pokémon penny sleeve and hard sleeve and then wrapped it multiple times to protect it before shipping it off. I have photos and videos of the process and the buyer just got the item and is trying to deny everything I used during my shipping process and wants money back guarantee. He said I used nothing but an envelope and tossed the card in there and now is sending photos of a card bens like crazy and wants to return me his old card for mine that was pristine condition. What should I do?

Selling on eBay

@colst5486

I'm sorry this is happening to you.

First, I need to tell you that eBay wants sellers to solve issues themselves. So, if you want advice from eBay start with telling that you absolutely want to follow eBay's rules.

These are, when a buyer has such complaints, accepting the return, send a return label and refund when you got the item back.

If you don't want to refund a wrong item, you have to file a police report for fraud, and then contact eBay and ask to close the return without a refund. This is your option if you want it to play the principle way.

Good luck.

Selling on eBay

I am a smaller seller on eBay and I don’t have the money to send a refund back currently especially for a scam. If it comes down to it I will file a police report on the buyer and what are the steps to further that?

The next step is contacting eBay, give the info about the police report, and ask eBay to close the request without refunding.

Success is not guaranteed though.
